The 2023 Triangle Scholarly Communication Institute will be held from October 8 to 12, 2023, in Chapel Hill, in the Research Triangle region of North Carolina, USA.
This year’s theme is Trust. Five teams will be selected to attend based on successful responses to a Request for Proposals. Please review the RFP and consider submitting a proposal – the due date for proposals is April 27.
If you’d like to get a sense of what it was like in 2022, you can see highlights of the SCI 2022 program in the tweets and photos collected in this blog post. More information about previous years can be found at the links below, and lots more information can be found in the Frequently Asked Questions. We will be holding two information sessions on Zoom where you can learn more in real time – a brief overview of the program will be provided, and then you can ask questions about anything you’d like to know as you consider putting together a team and preparing a proposal. For details on the Zoom sessions, see the RFP.
Between 2014 and 2019 TriangleSCI was held at the Rizzo Center, a conference center affiliated with the University of North Carolina, featuring a retreat-like atmosphere. Sadly, we had to cancel the program in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic, and we restarted in 2022 in a new location in the center of Durham. For 2023 we’ll be returning to the Rizzo Center. You can find lots of photos of the venues in this highlights post from 2019, and the other links below.
