The 2023 Triangle Scholarly Communication Institute will be held from October 8 to 12, 2023, in Chapel Hill, in the Research Triangle region of North Carolina, USA, centered around the cities of Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill, and home to several of the nation’s top research universities and high-tech, pharmaceutical, and “creative class” industries. Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) is at the center of the region, and a short drive from each of the Triangle cities.

The Institute will begin late afternoon on Sunday, October 8, with an opening reception and dinner. It will continue with full day meetings Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, and will conclude in the afternoon on Thursday, October 12. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evenings may feature receptions, dinners, or other optional group programs on local university campuses or elsewhere in the Research Triangle area. For more information about how the program works, see this page about what happens during the institute, and other frequently asked questions.

The SCI 2023 venue will be the Rizzo Center, a conference center affiliated with the University of North Carolina, featuring modern amenities in a retreat-like atmosphere on the outskirts of Chapel Hill. Hotel accommodations will be provided at the Rizzo Center, and daytime meetings, breakfasts, and lunches will also be on site there.
